Digi Turk cut more programes

Yesterday was watching Home tv when it vanished.
Then I found Natgeo and Natgeowild have also gone along with History.
This company are becoming a ripoff, they seem to be getting rid of most of the English speaking programms.

We were watching History at 21.00 last night, when did it disappear?

Out of curiosity just switched TV on and all the History & Nat Geo channels are there.

Think it is a problem your end karmels and an apology to digiturk required as I have found since switching to them 3 years ago the service to English speaking people has improved. Especially on HD channels where you can watch without subtitles.

This often happens to me, but I have learned to click options, then follow the various instructions and your programmes will be updated in a couple of minutes.

Maybe what has happened is what has happened to us in the past - one has go to go Menu and reload the programmes. I have done that a couple of times and all was well. I lost BBC at one stage too. Hope it is as simple as that, but Iknow it can be very annoying.

We had moviemax comedy until earlier this week ~ then it disappeared. Reinstalled all programmes but couldn't get it back. Has this happened to anyone else?

I have still got the movie channels, but the ones mentioned have gone.
I have been with Digi Turk since the arrived in the TRNC, they have taken more channels off than they have introduced, When I went to the office and ask why they had removed channels they just shrug their shoulders, my guess is they have not payed the suppliers of those channels.

cyprusishome, There will be no apology for Digi Turk, the service has gone to the dogs since they started.
I will be looking for a better service when I return from Turkey, there is only so many time I can watch repeats.

After 3 reinstalls I managed to get the missing programms back but it will not change my mind about Digi Turk.
I think it will be the old laptop connected to the television with my VPN to watch the programms I like and it only cost the equivalent of one months payment to Digi Turk.

karmels,
I know there were problems with digiturk when we first came out regarding loss of channels etc that is why we went elsewhere for first 4 years. Since we joined not had any problems with loosing channels and the service has improved in that time. I still think you are being unfair to the company when in fact the problem does lie at your end not at transmission end and I am sure a call to them will resolve the problem.

If you have tried the reinstall have you tried switching off the box and leaving it for a few minutes then reinstall?

just putting in my 2 cents: I normally do not have moviemax comedy or other movie channels. My son, playing around, took the card out and of course I replace it. After a few times I noticed hey, I have comedy channel, maybe an error but I will enjoy (2 weeks). I no longer have it. And I haven't tried playing around with options. Just saying you are NOT alone Karmels!

Just come in fro a very nice night at morellis next to Big lemar, had a great night the food was great.
Before we left I pulled the box out to see if I could see a problem, I played with a lead that gives me Digi Turk in the bedroom and found that was the problem.
I now have all the channels back, now how did I loose these channels when all the rest were ok?
It seems the good lady had been cleaning the night before while I was out, this does not explain the loss which my wife said was impossible.
After showing her the problem with the cable how these channels stopped working was a shock, my be HD has a hand to play in this.
As said the cable is the one that feeds the bedroom, the one Digi Turk said is impossible to install but I did it with a splitter and a booster box.
This hopefully is the end of this problem, but as I have said I will be looking for a better service.

Still miss channel 13 that Digiturk dropped a couple of years ago.
All the old favourites were on there. Foyle's War, Midsummer Murders. Poirot and Miss Marple to name just a few.
Never did find out why they ditched it, oh well back to I payer!

A man came to my house yesterday to repair my husbands box as he was having problems with it. He happened to see my Digiturk and remote control. At The top of the RC is a big blue oval button. I had never pressed it before as I am afraid to botch things up, There is VOD printed on it. He told us this gives us a choice of several new movies that have just been out at the cinema. I pressed the button and up came 11 programmes, 2 sports,2 autobiographies and the rest drama or comedy, Looking at it they didn't seem that new but hey, its something extra to choose from. Why do Digiturk not explain or even give out instructions to their wares.
