My bill is normally around 60tl with 2 packages a txt and a call package but this month for some reason every time I am away from any wifi spots, and I receive an email or such like they have been charging me for the internet so my bill this month is 109tl which to me is daylight robbery, and without any authorisation from myself.
So be careful if you have an iphone or any device like this.
Turkcel daylight robbery.

This is happening more I gather and yes its robbery. Have you ever looked at a print out of your bil and realised that on top of KDV, the government take a further 30% in tax. I didn't realise this either until a couple of days ago, there are two types of Wifi, the free, gratis and for nothing, WiFi and the paid WiFi.

This is not Turkcel's fault. Thye only one who can use the internet is you. What is probably happening is your apps on your phone are downloading updates without you knowing. Make sure your data network is switched off and only switch it on when you need internet and there is no WiFi available. WiFi is different to the data supplied by your phone network so you have free wifi, like you get in coffee shops, bars and your own home, paid for wifi like you may get in a hotel where they give you a code that lasts for a day and then network data supplied by your phone provider. I get 100Mb of data as a 15tl package (I think) from Turkcell, I can check it pretty much anytime and the only time I have used the lot is when we were without electricity for 4 days.
I think you should look at your usage before blaming your provider.

I went to the turkcel office today and yes I had been charged 50tl for their internet services as my gprs was connected and could only be disconnected by turkcel which they did whilst I was there. All I can say is if you buy a new android phone and don't want the internet make sure you get your provider to disconnect the gprs at their end or you will end up each month with high bills. This will not effect your wifi connections.
Much cheaper when you only had to push button A in the phone box.
