I have decided to start cleaning our pool instead of using a pool company. Obviously I will need all the cleaning gear and chemicals, is there anywhere in particular that is reasonable to purchase all my requirements please? I do travel South if its cheaper there.

SIBA in Alsancak have an offer on at the moment. If I remember correctly, the full kit to get you going is 250 EUROS.

Also Steve,I know what you do in your pool, and I honestly don't believe that there are chemicals strong enough commercially available, although British Nuclear Fuels may be able to assist you.

Hi,
I go to Offsetsan ltd in Lefkosa ,past HSBC ( as if going to Metehan crossing )
Think it is 2 roundabout down from HSBC. It used to be next to BMW but understand it is not there now.
It looks like an office building

Excellent service. English speaking and very helpful.
They supply all pool cleaning products and have a wide range. Also buy all my chemicals from them.
Took my details , address etc and said next time I could phone for delivery if I didn`t want to go there.
As I say very helpful.

Contact numbers are :
0392 224051 mob : 05338514946
e.mail : nilcandemir@offsetsan.com
or info@offsetsan.com

They have a good selection and are competitively priced.
Suggest you e.mail them for directions first.

Be nice to one another.

Take a look at http://www.aligator.co.uk

I am the agent for this system and I many satisfied customers. The system is so easy, you cannot get the chemical balance wrong.

Is the alligator treatment system expensive to install?

The Aligator system costs £1100 including installation, subject to survey.

This is not to be seen as a cost comparison to chlorine but a true alternative which is much safer, healthier and kind to skin, hair and swimming costumes.

References can be provided.

I have the Alligator system and can vouch for what is says on the packet, as for one of the other pool company's mentioned I wouldn't touch them if you want healthy skin, they put far too much chlorine in the water, your skin goes white and itchy and when you complain they tell you that the measure is correct to maintain the pool, and in their own words, "Go and find another company" so I did, I found TRNC Vaughn and had the alligator system installed, my pool is sparkling, clean and healthy, well worth the money, and as for chlorine, it gets a couple of handfuls once a month, even the cats are drinking it.

Lor51
please read my post about swimming pool hygiene.
You might not think the same way of your system after that.
