Re: directions to ikea please
You can get nos. 158 or 160, it takes about 15-20 mins depending on the traffic - note that the bus travels along the A1 going past Ikea, coming off the dual carriageway at the 'balls' roundabout then goes back around to the hospital dropping you off opposite the hospital at the side entrance to Ikea car park - use the same stop to get the bus back to town. It costs 1 Euro each way and the buses are approx. every 30 mins - you can pick up a timetable at the bus station. The stains and dulux paint can be bought at Super Home Centre which you will find in a separate building from the Mall. Walk to the opposite end of the Mall from Ikea, pass Hamleys, Madisons and a Nissan garage and it's on the left. You can spot it from the bus on LHS just after it comes off the A1 dual carriageway - you could get off the bus at the bus stop closer to SHC then walk over to Ikea.

You have to cross into the South at the Ledra Street crossing, walk to the end of Ledra Street pedestrian area, turn right and keep walking until you get to the bus station on left. Then get one of the buses mentioned. You can, of course, drive but have to pay for insurance at Metehan crossing of 25 euros for 1 month.

Leroy Merlin will also have the paints and stains, from Ikea walk down past the hospital to the next roundabout and Leroy Merlin will be opposite you. Be warned though the lighting in there left two of us feeling sick and dizzy, the place is vast and has some great stock though.

How could one drive there from the Metehan crossing? I went looking for it the other week and got lost, wound up getting what I needed at Jumbo but was shocked I couldn't find it.

From Metehan crossing point turn right into side road then right onto main road, follow this road to 2nd set of traffic lights (T junction), turn right. *Go straight through at next roundabout and keep straight until you pass a large Greek church on LHS(1-2 km), take next left, go through 2 sets of lights and straight ahead at next roundabout, Jumbo is on this stretch on LHS. **Straight through next 2 roundabouts and up a hill to another set of lights, go straight through these, down the hill and through the next set of lights onward and through the roundabout under the A1 motorway. Take the next road left and left again, follow road road to mini roundabout, turn right into car park. Go down ramp, turn left, then right, then left through a narrow passageway into the car park below Ikea, park at the far side on left and you will find escalators/lifts taking you up to the store.
*At this roundabout, if you turn left at roundabout then right at next 2 sets of lights you will end up at Engomi which has a Carrefour, Superhome Centre, Debenhams, Peacocks, etc.
**Turn right at the 1st of these roundabouts (Metro store on corner) and follow this road up, through a couple of sets of lights to next roundabout, turn right and take 1st left you will find Lidl.
Apologies if I have missed any lights/roundabouts out, going from memory which is fading fast...

Alternatively from the church just follow the signs to Larnaca.
When you get to the motorway bridge follow the above instructions.
There is a new Lidl much nearer.
Follow the directions above to Engomi but instead of turning right to the Mall continue straight on, pass Debenhams drive to the end of the road, turn left and drive down past the hospital to traffic lights. You will pass a colourful cinema on the right and just a little further on you will see the new Ludl on the right hand side.

Thanks. There's so many roundabouts right next to each other i got confused last time i went. I think maybe following signs for larnaca is my best bet. Cheers.
