Re: Multimax
There has been sever rainstorms on Lefkosa side of Cyprus. Our Links that operate between Lefkosa and Kyrenia comes with 99.95% availability which means that they are down upto 4.38 hours per year. Because we run multiple links between Lefkosa and Girne, total actual downtime due to weather is much less than that (approx 1h per year), However, while one of the links are down, the other is usually becomes overcrowded and/or your actual path to the backup link may be overcrowded resulting in slow internet speeds for some customers.
Unfortunately, the weather on Lefkosa side has been exceptionally bad for 3 days in a row, causing links to suffer and there has been approx 30m of total downtime for girne and some more slow connection problems for some regions.
According to weather forecast, we dont expect any further related issues tomorrow onwards.

Re: Multimax
I live at Tatlisu. I had a call from multimax yesterday to inform me that upgrades were being carried out on my local transmitter next week and so my internet speeds would be slow until the work is completed. I could then expect a sustained higher internet speed
As I got older I congratulated myself on my tolerance..... Now I realise I just don't give a "ooops"

Re: Multimax
Hi Kemal,
Are we still having problems with the weather as my connection speed is now 0.35Mbps.
This has been going on for last 6 days now.
The problem has been reported several times to your live support line.

Re: Multimax
Geordie,
We do not currently have any issues.
Unfortunately I can only speculate without knowing your full name but If your speed hasnt improved since the weather, I would recommend to try one possible easy fix. During bad weather it is possible your antenna to disconnect from your main basestation and connect to another one, with a much lower signal that in turn cause this kind of performance issues. A simple power cycle of your antenna makes sure it is connected to the right basestation and may fix this problem.
If this doesnt fix the issues, send me an email at kbasat@multimaxcyprus.com with your name and we will have it sorted.
