My other half is getting very upset and I am not best pleased either, as my neighbour is allowing somebody to come in every afternoon to hide beneath one of his trees and then shoot up into the branches to kill any birds that have settled on them.
All you can hear is the noise of the rifle being fired repetitively.
We are in an awkward situation here as we have dogs and we do not want obviously to upset our neighbour.
Does anyone know if this is legal, has the hunting season ended and can we do anything to stop this.
Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Yes it is illegal - you can call 140 which is the number for the hunting wardens. You should be able to get someone who speaks English. Failing that you could try the police.
It is outside hunting season but even in season shooting is prohibited within 200m of houses and 500m of water/sea.

What gun is the person actually using? İs it an air-rifle or a shotgun? One would need a license for an air rifle in TRNC, but I am not sure about its illegality about using it at home for target practice or shooting harmful birds (i.e. crows) or rats coming in the garden...
