Don't have a clue I'm afraid, However there is an infestation prevention company across the road from Starlings on the main road in Alsancak, who specialise in all things nasty!!

Hi, I have had a look on a number of sites for you and they all mainly say the same thing, get the professionals in.
Remember, no matter where you go, there you are.

I had a Termite infestation in a pile of firewood outside.
Obviously concerned that the little critters would make a meal of my shutters and window frames,I went to the little garden shop on the opposite corner to Bella pasta behind lemar Karakum- Not sure of it's name but I call it 'Chemical Ali's'.
He gave me a bottle of stuff to dilute and spray on called 'Jetsis 2,5 EC'- It killed the little buggers stone dead as soon as it touched them ! And they didn't come back.
Give him a try before getting a firm in-he has more chemicals in his shop than the Rolling stones take on tour (and that's a lot!).
Hope this helps.

Places that you describe worry me to death. Its that type of shop that locals just walk into and obtain their poisons (which of course is what you are describing) and are used indescriminately. In a normal country most of what he sells would probably be banned or at least only sold to people who knew how to use it safely.

Sophie-The products the chap sells are proprietary garden pesticides/insecticides that are made by major companies.
I wasn't suggesting he 'knocks them up' in a lab behind his shop.

I did a 'google search on the product he sold me before I used it as a precaution ,as I have pet cats running about the garden.

It is an EU approved insecticide, and is widely used on vegetable crops such as potatoes, and fruit.

I have no doubt that if you drank a bottle it would kill you,but you could say the same about whisky I suppose, and for that matter a thousand other household products.

He was kind enough to give me an English translation of the Turkish instructions to ensure that I used the correct quantity in dilution.

I personally don't like using any chemicals in the garden, but in this case I had no choice, but took precautions to ensure that the product was safe when used correctly around animals.

What I think you are getting at(but didn't actually say for some reason) ,is the indiscriminate use of poison on Dogs and cats here.

Now,I wouldn't know where to start when It came to poisoning anything, but I do know that one of the worst ,and easily obtainable killers of dogs and cats is car antifreeze as animals find the taste 'pleasant'-look here-

I was simply trying to help the OP with their 'Beetle' problem, and not suggesting where to buy poison for pets!

I purchased a product from beta tek. was able to download a MSDS for it and full instructions. It eradicates termites, mossies, sandfly, roaches on contact. It is odourless and colourless, water soluble and very safe to use. It is suitable for use in food prep areas. I have used it so far for termites, round the cess pit for roaches, on my screens for mossies and sandflies and round the top of our bedroom where the sandflies sit. Much as everyone seems to think this country is in the dark ages it is not, this is a pukka product and the firm is highly professional with standards in line with international standards. I am personally more concerned with the stuff that is sold in aerosol cans in supermarkets and used indiscriminately by "household operatives" who have absolutely no idea of the poisons they are dealing with.

I have also sprayed my woodpile.

Not only do you need help with your beetles, but it would seem you also need help with 'copy and pasting'

Back on topic, has the OP got a picture of the damage or the beasties just to confirm that it is wood boring beetles as termites need a wholly more aggressive regimen especially in older type houses.
