Noise complaint officer tel no.

Does anyone know the telephone number for the officer who deals with complaints about noise. I did save the number - but yes you guessed right - i cannot remember where i put it !!
Also does he cover every area ? if not does anyone know who i should contact about noise late at night in Catalkoy. Probably banging my head against a brick wall (starting to get used to banging my head to the rhythm of the beat at 3am and on !!!) as it is the mighty Cratos causing the problem but at least i can try !!!!

You should call 123 - this is the Dept for Environment and they deal with noise pollution complaints. They have officers who cover the whole of TRNC and they can visit premises at night to establish whether the noise falls foul of the maximum levels permitted in built up areas. Catlkoy B'dere will say that as it is the Government who grants their (Cratos) entertainment licence then you should call the police when the noise happens BUT I do not know of the specific police number as I would not imagine it is the emergency number.

I have rung the 123 number and they were very helpful and will be making a visit. They wanted clarification as to whether it was concert music or not - I said it was disco that was a problem and the concerts are not a prob as they usually finish 12 - 12.30.

Brianc - is that tel no to make a complaint during the day for them to follow up or is it the one that you ring as/when the noise is happening ?
It started with such high volume the other night (at gone 1.30am) that it literally woke my kids up with such a start and fright - then it went on until about 4 am. Ridiculous - how do guests in the hotel get on - or are they all at the disco !!!

ifonly, we called the telephone at night as soon as woke up because of the noise. You have to tell them where the noise is coming from and they will go straight to that place.
