I paid 185 TL for an MOT which was around 3 weeks late but I do not know what the original price was, the receipt was so faint!

Well according to the BRS website, the actual fee is 124 tl, so that makes it 61 tl fine Ozankoys, a lot for being just three weeks late. May have to re-think how I get the MOT done in my absence.........

It was a truck though which is probably more expensive to start with I would very much doubt the fine would be 50% but you never know ..........

Re: fine for late payment of mot
oh yes it is, and guess what if you don't get your MOT done within the time scale its the price of another MOT and fine. My vehicle due to being booked in for an MOT and a timing belt on the Monday of the 2nd week when due to be paid decided to snap its belt on the Saturday and eat the engine. It took over two months to get the parts and the money together and knowing the year before I had not got the MOT done immediately as the tax is not due for another 4 months and I had paid 100tl and then 150tl for the 'new' mot my first call was to the tax office to explain the situation. Eventually after several meetings with all involved they did agree it was out of our hands and due to the garage reassuring them it would go to the police first before going back on the road seemed to be the only reason why I didn't have to pay again.
