I found this post today quite interesting...
"Greek Cypriots will be encouraged to sell their lands in the North to other Greek Cypriots and not resort to the IPC. If they do so, any such transactions will be free of taxes in the South."
Can they not see that this will accelerate the problem for them?
The "other" Greek Cypriots who are interested in purchasing the land will be the same Greek Cypriots who will be interested in selling via the IPC! I can imagine ads in newspapers stating things like "Sell your land in the North. Well buy it instantly (...for a hefty discount)" then selling it at a profit via the IPC.
