KibKom generosity - or rather soner's
Just in case you hadn't heard, the wonderful sum of 1000tl is to be donated to the Kemal Saraocoglu foundation, and will be given by Soner when he is over in July. the charity is thrilled at the generosity of soner and KibKomers, and says 'thank you so very much. we rely on people such as you to be able to continue the work that we do'. For anyone who does not know what they do, just ask, and I will post the article I wrote a year back about the charity. \But I am sure many of you know that they help about 40 children and their families. wonderful that KibKomhas in itsd short time of being is already looking well outside of itself - true charity. Wonderful gesture, and a definite feel good factor. Don't you agree!

Attached is an article I wrote for The Star a year ago. Ignore the out of date info about events, etc, but the article does give a lot of info about the charity, how it began, what it does, and how it needs help. Like all charities they struggle for enough money to keep going. anyway, have a read, and if you have any questions, do ask. they do a fantastic job with these children with cancer, and the support given to the families is faultless. sorry guys, but it won't allow me to upload the file. I need to seek Soner's help on this one. Oh dear. I will send it to him and zask him to upload it.

Sorry but Soner has probs and so we cannot do anything about downloading/uploading until his line is restored. However, if I have your e mail Cheery Bloossom I will send you the article. Do I have it? I am getting muddled up here over identities on this board.
Did a radio recording today (to be aired tomorrow around 5p.m.) with Sue Gazi , Editor of The Star, and we psoke of the competition, and the generosity of Soner and the board and the money to KSF etc, etc. trying to get the message out.
