So, I have enough petrol to get me to a garage when they reopen! I live in Bellapais - my car is in Ozankoy! Now I have to walk from HSBC to the Post office - after work 6pm - wait for a bus!
Get to Ozankoy and then walk up the hill to Bellapais - i will get home about 7.30!
Then İ will have to walk my dog! Then walk down the hill again tomorrow to get a bus...and it goes on.
I don't mind - but now my children will suffer. I don't mind them walking but I cannot get them to school! and this is a really important time for them!
Please - if the petrol statıons reopen today - let me know - as i am stuck in the office!!

Oh Libby, poor you. can;t those lovely men at Pegasus give you some wings, or even some petrol, I assume they have! What you say bears out my thinking, that the effects of going on strike have huge ramifications - including the education of the children. I just hope that essential services are not kept short of fuel.
Me? Panicking. But O.K for today. Cancelled one appointment, and might not get to Lefkosia tomorrow, or as I have shared before, I might be compelled to stay at home and do housework1 Yuk!

I hope someone is kind to you and gives you some fuel or that pegasus let's you and your family sleep in the office!

I don't mind the walking - it is all adding to the experience of living here - but too happy about the rain though!
What does annoy me though is when it affects this kids education at this crucial stage. I will pass on sleeping in the office. Have you heard the birds in here!

did they know it was going to rain when they went on strike making us walk everywhere in the rain just like being back in the UK !

Birds garage had all types of Fuel about two hours ago because I filled up there.
