Monday nights are about to get more interesting!

From the 29th July The Red Lion, Alsancak, will be hosting the new Open Mic Sessions with Gavin from 8.00pm.

We are hoping it will be a regular monday night event where both musicians and non-musicians can get together over a beer (at cut prices), and share the wealth of talent there is here!

Everyone, regardless of ability, is welcome to come along and perform either one or a few songs, sing solo or join with others or just rattle a tambourine to be part of the experience!

This will be run as a true open mic session with the length of 'spot' determined by how many are taking part. Hopefully there will be plenty of takers, otherwise yours truly will have a lot of playing to do!!!!

The PA and microphones will be set up ready, just bring your instrument with you. If you need a guitar on the night I'll have one you can borrow!!

Please. No negative comments about the Red Lion getting free performers!!! I have been engaged in a professional capacity to run the evening as MY show under the protection of my work permit. As part of MY show I will be asking amateur performers to take part. Akin to a Karaoke evening! Our current understanding is that this style of event complies with the current rules in place.
