Re: dogs going South
Sadly it is an emphatic 'no'! Wish I could take m y dog when I go over, but it is most definitley not allowed. You might get away with a pocket sized Yorkie if gagged, but....
I think it is a terrible shame because I reckon one could show the doggy passport and be allowed, butr as yet, this is a totla no no area.
Maybe it is time application was made to the Government to make it allowable. wouldn't that be lovely.

Marion is so right. If you were to get the dog over the border, then you have to worry about getting them back and the possibility of them being stuck in the Lefkosa pound. Is it worth it? I think not. I do know of someone who doped her dogs to get them over the border, but she knows I am disgusted with her and it's one topic we never discuss!!

Re: dogs going South
you're welcome. But I wonder what could be done to let our beloved pets over the border. aslong as they have the pet passport which is acceptable for Europe, I don't see the problem. But then I don't make decisions, ! Surely it is time that this was brought onto the negotiating table. But who will do it and when and how.
there have been many occasions when we would have liked to have spent the night in the south, but need a dog sitter this end. We can't even go over for a day trip without finding someone to look after the dog, so we just don't go together any more. Such a shame, and I am sure there are many of you who feel the same.
