Who said anything about non-payment of the rent? All I said was that she hasn't paid it, as the landlord has not been to collect it yet!!I do take exception to your comment that Marions could have "been taken in"Please clarify.
It is easy for you to say you would have tackled the landlord head on, you are a man.

Re: Give a dog a home - yes another one!
I have been following this thread since it's inception.
For what it's worth,here's what I think-
1.The minute anyone threatens to shoot anything-the police need to be informed, and fast-it's too late to rue after the event in the hope it was an 'Empty Threat'.
2.As an Ex-landlord myself, good tenants are hard to come by,and you try to hang on to them and keep them happy as far as reasonably possible-He knew the tenant had pets, and I assume had paid her rent on time, why would he kick off when another(we are told well behaved) pet comes on the scene?
3.Given that the tenant has no written agreement, and assuming the tenancy laws here work in a similar way to in the UK- A tenant without a tenancy agreement is in effect a 'sitting tenant' and is in a very strong position, coupled with the fact that there has been a suggestion that he is avoiding tax-from where I am sitting the lady tenant is holding all the Aces.
There has been a fair bit of vitriol spouted on here about the landlord-And if what has been said is true, then it is justified-But please remember we have only heard one side of this tale.
A few of you may recall a few months back, that a Kibkommer posted about a family who 'allegedly' had left a local restaurant without paying, please take the time out to read the thread here-

A few Kibkommers were getting stuck into this family, until one of the family came on here and posted his side of things, which (surprise surprise)put a whole new complexion on the tale.
There were a few red faces behind keyboards and apologies after that-you might note that I commented about making judgements without knowing all the facts-And I am saying that again.
I am not casting doubt on the story, but it would be interesting to hear the other side,if it is possible to get the landlord on here it would give some balance?
I am sorry that this does not help 'Billy'-But as I see it ,he has a happy home already-the issue is more about resolving a tenant landlord dispute before it (Unnecessarily)spirals out of control.

The link is still there Philoz but it takes you to a page that has nothing on it. Maybe you have missed out a letter or a number from the link.

Ajay- the thread was there yesterday as I tested it after posting.
It has disappeared also from both the posting history of the OP and the 'accused'.
My own contribution has also gone missing from my history.
In conclusion the entire thread has been 'censored' and removed by someone.
I added the link to the thread ,not out of any form of mischief, but to demonstrate a point I was trying to make regarding jumping to conclusions without having all the facts.
An explanation would be nice?

Philoz, I deleted it, there was no need to bring up that post, members had apologised and it was not nice to bring it back to the forefront.
Kibkom Forum is not a Court of Law, this thread was placed to simply find a dog a new home, not to create a case to be judged.
It would be more helpful if people could just ask around, there may be someone interested that does not use the forum.

Re: Give a dog a home - yes another one!
As I started this thread, I am now going to lock it to avoid any more 'off thread' contributions. But the need for a new home is still there, and could I please suggest that if ANYONE can help, then they send me a pm or e mail through the board.
Thanks. I hope an answer is found, but I feel that everyone is now aware of the need. If there is any change, then I will notify everyone, but at the moment for various reasons the owner of billie is looking for a new home for him.
Thanks everyone.
