When the family have gone home.....
Please can someone tell me how to get nasty yellow patches of waterproof sun cream out of bedding, towels etc.? The wretched stuff is designed not to come off in water.
It's lovely to have them all over to stay, but not so great to have to throw out eights sets of bedding and towels when they have gone!

I had exactly the same to deal with.
I soaked it all in washing powder overnight then rubbed it with lemon juice followed by a machine wash and it went.
Hope that helps you too.
cheers

Try suggesting they shower it off before going to bed?

Re: When the family have gone home.....
There is a useful thread here with several suggestions that might help-

Other than that ,I would second Deniz's suggestion, and better still shower it off before dressing and sitting on fabric furniture.

Thanks for your help. Trouble with showering is that we have had very little water, so they were given the standard "water lecture" when they arrived, so kept that to a minimum! Have now tried washing up liquid, lemon juice, vinegar, several hot washes and it has nearly gone. Next time they will get the "sun cream lecture" too!

Well hang in there cause my lot did not heed the pool/sunscreen lecture nor the water one , so you have my sympathies!

Could the dry cleaners help? I know it cost,s but if they can do the trick for a few lira without the heartache of scrub, scrub, soak, soak !? surely it is worth it.

Have you tried Vanish, you can mix up a paste with a little water, rub in and leave. Then either soak in a solution and then put in the washing machine. Might be a bit of overkill but could work.
