ifonly- The best advise I got was from Lee of 'Masterfinish' who runs a floor cleaning business here and is a regular poster.
Don't use bleach under any circumstances as it will take the shine off,as will anything acidic.
He told me to use a very weak solution of washing up liquid, which is what I now use without any smears-avoid any branded floor cleaners.
Once the shine has gone the only way back is to have it re-ground,which is an expensive job.
Hope this helps.

We have marble floors & I have been cleaning them for 10 years!!! (not continually ) Anyway a splosh of Flash or Bingo for floors hot water & the majic ingredient about 2cm Paraffin . Dont polish up after just let it dry. You only need to do this praps 1/2 doz times for the shine to build up & then just occasionaly add the paraffin, maybe once a month. This is what I was told by locals all those years ago & Everyone says how shiny our floors are & how do they get that way.

I have also been told by locals to use paraffin, but they did not mention quantity or whether to dilute, so never tried it in case I dropped my cigarette on to the floor whilst applying.

Locals also wash them with bleach, which is NO NO, the recommended way to remove stains is bicarb of soda. (it works)
As previously stated never use any Acid or bleach it will ruin the finish (has taken 4 years to educate our Turkish neighbors but it's too late for the tiles outside their apartment )

Paraffin from a garage.
Just pour it into your mop bucket no need to be exact it still cleans & polishes with a bit too much or too little, Simples.
