WANTED - Wi-Fi information

It haS been proposed by someone that it might be helpful to have a list of ALL the cafes, restaurants, bars etc where there was a free WiFi access. Obviously we all know some of the obvious places - such as gloria Jeans, shooters, but no one knows them all.
I would like to compile a list, but cnanot do it on my own. So please HELP.

Could you either reply here, or pm me with any places you know ANYWHERE in TRNC, and then we can produce a helpful list for KibKomers through the new kibkom Times or whatever.

PLEASE HELP - I am sure this is something that owuld be extremely helpful. I know it would be to me - i take my dongle around with me just in case but it would be good not to have to if I knew that I could find a Wi Fi wherever I was going.

I can't do it without you guys - PLEASE.

Mama Mia Pizza Restaurant, Kurtuluş Caddesi, Bellapais Yolu, Girne , on the corner near Karakum Lema has wifi.

Just been advised by my friend who runs the Corner Bar at the harbour,that the whole harbour area has Wi-Fi free.

Owl Lady, Is it one network & password or do you need to go to each restaurant and ask for individual Network name and Password?

good question. I suspect it is individual although it might be a shared network. I know when I go into GJ there is the password of the day, but equally having been there before (and same applies to Shooters) when I open up, my computer connects automatically. I don't understand these thing,s but I DO find it useful.

I believe each harbour side cafe/restaurant has their own wifi and passwords.

This is going to sound a bit vague, but I recollect reading somewhere that Girne Belediyesi were providing free wifi in some areas of the town.

Now for the vagueness - I have no idea which areas are covered

Does anyone else recall reading this, or perhaps know which areas?

I would think that the area near the Belediye's office would be a good bet for starters, but that's just a guess...

Club Ilgaz (in Ilgaz) have wifi. You get logged on automatically, so son't need a password.

fantastic Chris. Thanks all of you, but I wonder if there arenow any gaps? So far it seems pretty comprehensive, but maybe on the Karpaz there are some gaps, and out guzelyurt etc.

I agree that I am sure one won't even have to ask in the future - it will be part and parcel of any establishment, as much as the lighting!

But if there are any gaps, please keep the info coming, and thanks agiaqn to all of you, especially the last very comprehensive batch.

I havent gone thu the whole list, but fyi, Deniz Kizi hotel (one close to sea) internet for purchase only even if you r a guest downer in my books
