3 of us went there about 2 weeks ago for lunch before the flyover . I can't remember if there was a service charge when we paid because I was still in shock at the 24 tl they charge for half a slice if seseme prawn toast, that 2 quarters of 1 slice of bread , & the same for ribs, I will add we never encouraged there stupid pricing. We had 3 mains, about 52 tl each ,( chicken & beef )plus rice 13 tl & noodles about 20 tl.
I don't think with prices like that they need to charge service charge , but then again !!!
Food was descent but not outstanding.

Needless to say we was the only people there.

A bit ioff topic but maybe useful information. At the bottom of our road is a plot of land that we understand has been bought and will be developed by a Chinese company - you never know Alsancak might just have a decent Chinese takeaway evenutally!

Yes there is but when you get your bill tell them you want it taking off and they will with no fuss.

The menu is all priced and are as clear as day, if you don't like what you see then you go somewhere else - easy.

Also check out their set menu, it is a cheaper option for their good food.

Sorry I cannot remember the answer to the 'service charge' query, we don't go that often because of the prices but thoroughly enjoy it when we do for special occassions.

Hi thanks for the comments, we have been several times over the past few years as we like it very much, but on the last 2 occasions we have been charged a service charge, ( by a certain member of staff) which we had not been charged previously, we thought we were mistaken in the past, asked around and loads of people said no they did not, so we thought we would give it a go again on Saturday, service was great, food was great, not very cheap as menu has gone up again but so has everywhere, absolutely packed, fantastic evening
NO SERVICE CHARGE (member of staff not there on this occasion)
So at least we know that now

I used to work at the edge of Chinatown in London and frequented the restaurants there, one of the most expensive areas of the UK. I have been to the Dragon, it is probably the best Chinese here however it is quite not great and poor value for money.
Some are wise and some otherwise.....
