accommodation wanted in English speaking home for Oman stude

can you help? the following is an e mail received from the student form Oman who would like to stay with an english family. Please pas s on the message and if yu have any answers, please email me. Let's hope we canhelp this person in his quest. (I assume it is a 'he')

Hi,
Sorry for disturb. I am Badar from Oman. I am planing to study MBA in NEU in Nothern Cyprus. Therefore, I am searching for an English family to stay with to improve my language.
Please let me know if this is possible.

If he's sudying at NEU then he needs to be much nearer to Lefkosa that here and you don't find too many English people in Lefkosa. I should ask him how much he is prepared to pay for his accommodation.

Not sure it is a quesiton of financ,e but finding! I agree with you, but there could be some ex London Cyps who might be able to give him a room etc. , and I am sure they would charge only the appropriate rate. it is really a matter of finding someone who can offer what he wants.

Such a shame that there hasbeen no response to this. Poor boy! Maybe those that would help are still off island. But it would be nice to be able to help him.

It could be a case of people not wanting a stranger in their home . They would lose their privacy ie if its hot and humid , people might want to walk about their home in their undies , you cant really do that with a stranger in the home .
Also you don't say for how long . Maybe people cant afford it . Could be numerous reasons
