I heard today on good authority that the fuel storage installation will not now go ahead.
Apparently Eroğlu said today, that he doesn't want one anywhere in the TRNC.
|Personally I think that is terrific news, and congratulations to all those who silently protested at the destruction of the 'real Cyprus'. good on 'em!

Isn't there already a fuel storage installation on 'Snake island'? - and presumably another that serves the power station?
So when he says that he "doesn't want one anywhere in the TRNC", he presumably means another one!! - Have I missed any out, by the way?

i DID NOT SPEAK TO THE MAN, SO DON'GT KNOW, but maybe what he means is that he doesn't want one that is for other people's benefits, and not the people of the island, and maybe what he means is that he doesn't want that area spoilt any more. No doubt there will be an official Press Statement emanating from the presidency in due course. and maybe that will answer your question.
whatever is here already, I for one, am delighted that (at the moment!) there is to be no more.

Flipping 'eck - I thought that you were 'shouting' at me for a minute - then I realised you'd left your 'CAPS' lock on - whew!
I did mean that as a rhetorical question - & I wasn't holding you responsible for the quote or anything
No doubt it lost something in the translation...

oop, sorry, keyboard trouble. I wouldn't shout at YOU! (deliberate caps!). I was trying to analyse what the guy was thinking. But who am I to even try. I am just so pleased as to what is NOT going to happen.
