Which English family gave a white Husky(cross)to a Cypriot ?

Help, I need to find out who gave a gorgeous a beautiful young dog (maybe 6 -9 months -white Husky(Cross?) to the 18 year old son of my Cypriot friend upstairs. He came back with this dog yesterday(Sunday) and the poor thing has since been tied up on a very short chain in a load of rubbish. He has no idea how to look after animals, and when I tried to intervene I just got shouted at. My friend does not want the dog, but her son keeps bringing animals home and then ignoring them after the first day,and we have to try and find homes for them, but this dog is from an English family and they should not have just passed on a beautiful dog without checking where it was going and how it would live and even if the boys family wanted a dog-THEY DO NOT. He is adamant he wants the dog and my friend is adamant she doesn't, everybody in the house is out all day, but in the end she will have to look after it, but that basically means throwing a bit of food down sometimes and leaving it tied up. We have a massive garden next to a ravine, so there is no way any part can be enclosed, it also winds down to someones building yard. Sorry to rant on, but I am so upset. People should think carefully before they pass their pets on.

Before anyone says why don't I have it, as much as I love all dogs and all animals, I am a cat person and have cats, and do not want a dog. I do not live in my own house, and in a couple of years I can see myself moving back to England. What I am basically asking here is, if the family that gave the dog away read this, could they take it back my number is 0533 842 7204, and also to remind people to be careful who they hand their pets to if they can longer look after them. Stella.

Stellastar, not sure if its the same dog, but there has been a postings regarding a white husky/cross on the Lemongrove forum, that was found and the person was trying to find the owner. They have a contact telephone number on there. Maybe worth a chat with them to see if you are both trying to solve the same problem with the dog, if indeed its the same dog.

I would be upset too if I knew of someone doing that to a dog or other animal. Unfortunately, its not the only dog or animal this happens to. I wish there was something more people could do but I have no idea. At least your "rant" is making aware of the treatment that some animals do live under if taken in as a "pet". I love animals and would love to take them in, but I know my limits personally and financially. Good luck to the husky as well as all other animals.

It's stories like this that make me lose my rag completely. How the hell could anyone be so stupid as to do such a thing. TC's are dumping huskies and long haired German shepherds all over the place at the moment and now we hear a Brit has done virtunally the same thing. Shame, on them. And before anyone comes on and says "Sophie you don't know their personal circumstances, don't be hard on these people, they might have had really good reasons for doing what they did" Don't bother.

KAR told me last week that they had received a report of a missing white Husky from the Lapta area.. perhaps they could put you in touch with the owners of this missing dog - could be the same one?

I did read about a missing Husky but it was a female and this is a male who is incredibly friendly, but I will ring KAR. He is wearing a red collar made of some sort of material, but not leather.

Another amendment to this is that the boys that brought the dog home say it came from a Cypriot family. I think they just found it wandering the streets and concocted a story for their parents and me.
