can anyone give me a route for this please, starting from Girne.

The best way is to go past Esenetepe, get to the T junction and turn right through the mountains, follow the road all the way to the petrol station roundabout and go straight over.... Follow this new road over all the mini roundabouts till you get to the main Nicosia to Famagusta road, go straight over at this crossing. The crossing is about 5 ish miles down this road, you can get insurance here too if you need it....

Can you get the tax there as well.

You cannot get the tax at this crossing and getting insurance there is not always possible. We have been twice and
found the insurance office closed and been told we should have got it at Metehan.

You cannot get tax at the this crossing (is actually Beyarmadu or Pergamos not Pyla) but the insurance office is normally open until 9pm daily. If she is not there, there is a number to call and someone comes from the village to help you.

My mast conversation with the insurance office, Pyla was that as the season draws to a close they will normally shut up earlier around 7.30, however if they are "in" (they live there) then they will serve you and are happy to let you have their mobile number so you can call ahead of you are going to be late.

No "MOT" papers here, can confirm that Metehan during office hours is the place to get it, once a year.
