Zeytinlik Olive festival

I was hoping that the olive festival would be mentioned here or in the kibcom newspaper. Does anyone have the timetable of events that they could post on here please ?

I have tried Google search, the events forum on Kibcom and various other places.

The only information I can find is that the festival is held over a fortnight sometime in October.

They complain when they do not attract enough visitors but make no effort to promote themselves.

This year it is from Tuesday 1st to Sunday 6th October

I've never been to the olive festival yet but since I'll have visitors that week, it might be a nice idea for a visit!

Can anyone tell me when's the best time/day to go and what can we expect to find?

the Tourist Info office in Girne have programme leaflets. My daughter went last night to the opening and said it was great, lots of stalls and a lovely atmosphere

Starts at 7pm. We went last night and enjoyed it. Loads of people, lots of kebabs and a great ambiance.
