After a long and interesting chat with TC Hasan Tekel (right, TRNC Department of Antiquities)... A tip about an excavated 6-7th century church in Salamis... Ignored by all visitors... Not on any map yet...

Time to check it out and find the place... "Possibly" the St Catherine (a common name at Salamis at the time, in the early days of Christianity in Cyprus) Church...

YES! What a feeling! To stand on the spot where more than 1300 years ago long forgotten people celebrated "the true faith" - and a ruin is all that's left... Vanity, it's all vanity...
