Bayram holiday
Can anyone confirm if the Banks and Government offices are open on Monday, I know the official holiday is Tuesday 15th - Friday 18th October, but are they working on Monday?

Re: Bayram holiday
My local bank plan to open on Monday morning but I think they are awaiting a decision from the government today.
The bank plans to close pm Monday for 4 working days opening again on Monday 14th.

This holiday is similar to our Xmas-very much a family holiday and some restaurants will pick up extra business but there are plenty of restaurants to meet everyone's need,

I spoke to Credit West this morning and was told they were still awaiting government decision as to next Monday, but she said even if they were allowed to open next Monday it would only be until 11am, so work on the theory that no banks for 5 working days, plus Sat and Sunday.

Get any cash you need early on as the machines often run out before the banks reopen.
