House Insurance Recommendation

Would you please give the name of a reputable insurance company / bank on the East Side for building and contents insurance.

What sort of price do you pay out here?

We used CreditWest Bank (Catalkoy) on main road - reasonable price and good cover. They sent rep out to property to view and take pictures, quote was ready next day. Price will depend on what size property, value and also contents.

We use Cyprus Insurance Company which is Very competitive and the office I go to is next to Hur Deniz supermarket near the roundabout where the Big Electric shop is.Another landmark is it is near the VIP Med center. The person I speak to is Fergie who speaks perfect English and very helpful. She tells you exactly what is covered and what is not .Her phone number is 05338680714.

We use Trevor Hughes who represents Dagli Sigorta insurance. He does both our house and car insurance. You'll usually find him with his insurance stall at Chateau Lambousa market on a Saturday morning, next to Royal British Legion stall. His mobile is 00 90 (533) 844 34 03. Excellent service and advice.

I was preparing to open a thread on this subject also Silverfox1 as I am going to need house contents and building insurance in the next week or so, I bank with Iktisat bank and was thinking of them to provide the service, has anyone any thoughts or experiences with them? it would be interesting to hear from people who have had to claim of their Insurance companies and could recommend through experience?

I had to claim on mine and Fergie was very helpful. Gave her all the details and she sent the claim off for me.

It was settled with no quibble. Just my experience, some else may have had a different one.

Thanks for information. I will certainly make contact next year and see what the costs and cover is compared to current provider. Always useful to have a number of options and you never really know how good the insurance and service will be until you need to claim.
