My name is Charlie and I’m six years old!

I’ve lived a happy life with my Mum and Dad for four years since they adopted me from KAR. In June my Dad got a new job and moved overseas. He’ll be gone for about five years. My Mum is very upset as I can’t go with her when she moves on December 12th to go and live with my Dad, so she needs to find me a new loving home

I’m a very good boy and always do as I’m told - except when I see a cat and want to chase it!! For the past four years I’ve been the only dog in our house and I like it that way. I like to play with other Cyprus Terriers, but other dogs scare me a bit so I don’t get along with them so well. I love my Mum to bits and I’ll really miss her - I like to lie on her lap in the evening and she even lets me sleep on the bed with her at night since my Dad left!

If you think you could love me as much as my Mum does, please call her at 0533 8633931 and come and visit me.

Dear Charlie,
We wish you all the luck in the world in the search for your new home'
If this helps, we have two of you, both rescued and they are the most loving, funny, faithful dogs you could wish for.
We also have two spaniels, so our home is now full but to everyone else who is maybe just thinking about you, do not hesitate.
Your breed does not moult, you are only a small dog so quite easy to manage, obviously you will not cost a lot to feed but what you will give back to someone, will be priceless anyway!!!
GOOD LUCK and lots of love to you and your Mum,
Big Bad Bob's other half!

Thanks for your comments bigbadbob's other half and paddywack. Charlie is a real sweetheart - it breaks my heart to let him go but my choice was to move and live with my husband or stay here to be with my dog. Don't think hubby would be too pleased if I was to choose my dog over him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everybody that meets Charlie falls in love with him - hopefully we'll find him a new home for December very soon!

One of our six dogs is a Heinz 57 terrier, called Charlie, not as nice looking as your Charlie, but cherished just the same, good luck

Wow. I wish I could have Charlie, but I already have a female version who will take no rivals. Where on earth ar eyou going that you cannot take Charlie. I know I would be heartbroken if I had to leave my dog, but then I am not faced with an awful decision .

I do so hope there is someone out there who will take Charlie. He looks gorgeous!

Marions - I'm off to Colombo in Sri Lanka. Although the country does allow us to import pets, my husband's company have given us an apartment to live in rather than a house, and they don't allow pets in apartments

Only one but they live in an apartment and have a young baby. Probably not the best situation for him to go to. I still have seven weeks before I leave so keeping my fingers crossed that the right person will come along

I dare not run the risk of divorce even over a handsome Charlie, but I do so hope someone takes him in. What a rotten lot in Sri Lanka! I envy you going there. Lovely place and I am sure Charlie would love it, but.... I DO understand. Do you want me to put something in KibKom Times using the photo, or do you have another one and is there anything more you would like to say. Just e mail me or p.m. me and I will do whatever I can to spread the word a bit wider.

BNut maybe today is the day and someone will say 'yay'. I know there are a lot of people hoping this will happen soon, so thatyou can pack up your things knowing that Charlie will be happy and loved.

Charlie is probably better off not going to Sri Lanka, having spent a holiday there the care they give their dogs is not good. Everyone we saw was scratching and if you got a close up they were covered in mange or similar and virtually hairless it is just so sad to see.

Hope by writing it helps get Charlie that ideal home. Someone out there must want him. As I say I would but cannot, so if only out of a sense of guilt I hope my article hits someone's heart who is able to say 'Come on in' to Charlie.

Yes Paddywac k. I agree. It is not so much 'Nick knack Paddywack give a dog a bone', but rather 'give a dog a home', isn't it.

Just about everyone is talking about Charlie but no one seems to be able to take him in. I am SURE there has to be someone out there. He is so adorable, but I just can't, . I will lighta few candles as prayers for Charlie to be loved to the point of total irresistibility to someone.

Coming from where I do, don`t have much faith in the candle lighting, got to be a little more positive.

Don't deny yourself avenues Paddywack. The candle lighting is the faith and the action is works. As they say 'faith without works is dead' , and I believe they are interrelated, The prayers are for some action remembering that the only hands God has are ours.

Anyway, whether it was faith or someone's action, it looks as if an answer may have been found. I will continue to light the candles in the hopes that it has. but whatever way you look at it, this could be TERRIFIC news - innit????

Sorry but I can't resist the odd mini sermon erupting now and then!!!!!

We have the sixteen paws crossed of our family members plus two pairs of hands - Please let it be happy news for Charlie and Mum tomorrow, so wish we could have been the family to give him the loving home he so deserves.

Many thanks to everyone for your help and good luck wishes for Charlie. He has found a new home with Susie in Lapta - lovely lady As sad as I feel about losing him, it's a great relief for me too knowing that he's going to someone in December who will take care of him and love him as much as I do. x
