Magalan is correct - staysure will cover you when you reside in TRNC, I've used them a number of times. Bengo is another company but I've never used them as they worked out more expensive for similar cover for the trips we've made.

Re: Holiday insurance leaving from TRNC
We were assured that that our policy covered TRNC. They confirmed we were. Last year we had to make a claim for medical treatment whilst in Panama. Our itinerary was from Ercan to Istanbul to UK. Then UK TO Amsterdam to Panama.
After the excess was deducted we received recompense with no quibbles.
This year our insurers were going to direct us to a different company but they did not recognize the TRNC. They booked us a policy with Globetrotter Euro Travel Insurance ( who we were with previously ) at a reduced rate than last year.
So there you have it. Policy with our TRNC address and payment on a claim. Job done.

Re: Holiday insurance leaving from TRNC
Whenever booking travel insurance I make sure to check where and what they cover - I used to work in the travel industry and dealt with travel insurance companies so know how rigorous they can be when you make a claim. When we first moved here it was very difficult to get travel insurance as a TRNC resident but now a number of companies cover you for travel all over the world. If in doubt, email them and tell them exactly where you live and where you are planning to travel and that way if they say they will cover you then you have written proof. Last year we got cover for Turkey via Staysure after I explained we lived in the Northern part of Cyprus. If you get insurance saying you are a UK resident and using a UK address but your journey doesn't start and end in the UK you can be sure that they will want to know why...

Re Staysure...
We have asked the specific question "Do you cover expats living in the TRNC?" and received the answer "Yes, we do cover expats living in Northern Cyprus"
That's good enough for me...........
