Insurance at border on Sunday

Apologies, I know this has been asked before, but I already have valid road tax and want to know if any of the insurance kiosks are open on Sundays, travelling around lunch-time? Many thanks.

We have tried to buy insurance at Metehan on a Sunday & Saturday and found the kiosk closed.

We got insurance at Metahan on a Sunday a few weeks ago. Was told that only one insurance kiosk opens (at 9 o clock), and that the kiosks take it in turns to open on that day.

Sounds like a hit & miss affair to me and I wouldn't chance it. Maybe in December nearer christmas they will be open as the crossings are busier.
