Opinions on Stone Castle Rest.

Hi,

Has anybody tried the Stone Castle Restaurant in Esentepe? I keep receiving e-mails from them and see their pics on Facebook but have not read any reviews.

I would recommend you give Stone Castle a miss.

I get a lot of unsolicited emails and kindly asked them to delete my name from their circulation list. I got an offensive response. So judging by that, I seriously question their ability to provide courtesy and good service.

I agree with Joe Soap - unsolicited emails p**s me off considerably to the extent that on principle I would not go there. Cratos are the same. I can only believe they got our email addresses from one of the forums - I hope not Kibkom.

Joe Soap - if you use online hotmail/outlook there is an easy solution:-

1 Click the little cog wheel on the top right
2 Select 'More Email Settings'
3 Select 'Rules for sorting new messages'
4 Select 'New'
5 Create a rule that says 'Sender's name contains Stone Castle' together with 'Delete these messages'
.....you will never see one again

I got a load of unwanted text messages from them-I have no idea where they got my number from-I wasn't impressed one bit.

Very poor opening week. Mixed reports since - high drinks prices apparently. Far better reported alternative outlets I the local area.

Although I don't use hotmail / outlook, I eventually discovered there is a facility in gmail to send mails from unwanted sources direct to trash.

Have now arranged for all mails from the SC site to be binned.

Well, I have been there several times now. My first meal was disappointing but they have continued to improve and their new bar is very attracive as is the whole venue. They have gone through several chefs in their efforts to improve and I would say they should be given another chance, if you were previously disappointed.

We went for 1st time about 5 weeks ago. Interestingly, we thought the drinks prices quite reasonable - 4TL for soft drink, 5TL for 50cl Efes. We did think the prices for food were high compared with similar dishes at nearby eateries. The food was average, not bad but not great. The young couple were very nice but inexperienced hosts. The location is very nice and I think we would pop in again for drinks and the view but not for food.

Philoz I'm guessing that they got your number through some people who sell mobile no.s to people who own businesses and want to advertise their products or offers to you through your mobile no. A chap came into the shop I work at one day and asked if we wanted to pay a price for people's contacts to advertise to them by sending text messages. As I, like you, get annoyed by thinking that its annoying for them to do so without my consent, we turned his offer down.
