I have seen them in NC but for the life of me can't remember where. I used to buy them in the South. The only supermarkets I use are Lemar, Starling or Eroklu, so it must have been in one of those.

They sell them in Ileli (Alsancak).

They are on the top shelf where they sell the bread/rolls etc.

Pretty easy to whip them up yourself. Google fatless sponge recipes. Basic Swiss roll recipe but easily adapted for trifles etc.
