I can't be the only early morning walker, but was amazed at 6.45 am on Saturday to see, near Mare Monte, an Oil Rig, an enormous structure, being towed Eastward, about a mile off the N.Cyprus coast, followed by a Supply Vessel. For anybody interested, the rig was being towed by the Norwegian Towing Vessel, GSP Antares, and the Supply Vessel was the GSP Perseu. The little convoy continued Eastward towards the KARPAZ before turning ENE and heading for Iskenderen, presumably for repairs or maintenance.
Somewhat different from popping in to the local garage repair shop!

Glad it wasn't just us that saw it. Mentioned it to a few people and they didn't seem to know what I was talking about. It appeared to be "parked" opposite us in Alsancak for quite a long time before it slowly moved up towards Karpaz direction. Made a change from seeing little fishing boats bringing in the daily catch of Bream and Bass.
