Unpaid Advertising will be removed
Dear Kibkomers running businesses, please do not advertise your business on the forum, it is unfair for those companies that support Kibkom by paying for advertising banners. Any business advertising on the forum that do not have a paid advert with Kibkom will have their thread removed.
Please support Kibkom by paying for adverts or donating when selling items. Profits go towards upkeep of the forum, online paper, tel directory and will help charities in the TRNC and UK. I have funded all costs incurred over the past 2 years and urge members selling to be considerate by contributing no matter how small - it is disappointing that many members have sold via Kibkom and have given absolutely nothing back in the form of a thank you or small donation.
Please support Kibkom - nothing runs on thin air.

Thanks guys for supporting Soner in this. He is a very generous man (and he has not paid me to say so) and this KibKom 'empire' is of great value to many people, but it is still a business and has to be paid for. So, I do hope that businesses will respect that. Charities are another matter.
I hope that everyone supports him in this.

Re: Unpaid Advertising will be removed
I agree aswell,
I would start charging 1 to 2tl to advertise goods on the sale page and using the money towards charity's or the upkeep of the forum.
People should be lucky (including myself) thàt we have a free sale page to advertise our goods because its alot more expensive in the newspapers!
We need to respect more and stop taking the mick.
End of the day,, soner built this forum for everybody to enjoy but a little contribution would be good to help back.
And I'm telling myself aswell.

Good idea Bubbles, but how do you police collecting the money?

Re: Unpaid Advertising will be removed
I agree 100%. Before replying to this thread I went through all the the "For Sale" list and some of the prices being asked for items are not to be sneezed at. I realise that a lot of this would be on trust because, like Owl lady, I can't figure out how it could be policed. But if people were to say that they (sellers) would be prepared to offer, say 2%, to the charity of the (buyers) choice, it just might work and goods might sell quicker. I know "trust" comes into play, but sometimes we have to have faith in others don't we?

Re: Unpaid Advertising will be removed
Thanks everyone.
All I ask is that sellers give a little something back for the service that they are using. There is a donation button at the top of the page which is a secure online payment system via paypal. Even 1% of any sale made would be much appreciated and will help towards our annual charity donations. You do not have to, but I know I would if I was using a similar service that clearly states that any help would be much appreciated.
With regards to advertising businesses, then that needs to be fair for all, and at present it is not fair for those that support Kibkom through paid advertising, of whom I sincerely thank so much for their kind support.

It is a shame that the forum is getting to be like the Cyprus edition of Exchange and Mart.

Paddywack, there is a sales page for people to do business in, no need to go there if not interested in buying and selling.
Moderators do try and keep things in order so that posts are not placed in the wrong sections... however, I do foresee a major clean up coming on soon.

[Suggest you wait for a Spring Clean, Soner. But it might be an idea for items sold to be deleted! Some people do actually put that it is sold which does help matters, but what happens with all the other for sale? We do not know if they still want to slel it, or whether it is long gone?
