Very large distinguished CAT MISSING - OZANKOY

One of our cats is missing from Ozankoy....

He likes jumping in to cars, and is no where to be seen as searched all over.

He is very distinguished as a very large framed cat (biggest I have seen here) and a blue (grey) tabby with white (semi longhair = fluffy cat). He weighs about 7kg and is approximately 18 months old and is neutered, but he does NOT have a clipped ear. His ears are big and his eyes quite piercing.

Attached are some pictures. The fluffy one is of him last February (he is much bigger now) with his winter coat as he has now. Also another more recent that shows a couple of white bars on his back, but that was with his summer coat.

He is much loved by us, but we were away for the weekend (left food outside for cats) and when we came back on Sunday night he had gone.... We have searched everywhere. Maybe he is trapped somewhere, or like I said jumped in the back of a van or something and is now lost.

Please look out for this cat. My son is distraught. WE all feel dreadful not knowing what has happened to him.

So sorry to hear about your cat we have been in your shoes so know exactly how you are feeling. Whereabouts in Ozankoy are you?
If your cat is injured or ill he might have crawled under a bush, we only found ours at night by shining torches which picked up his eyes whereas he was invisible in daylight hours. Time of year is helpful to you looks like we are going to have a very dark day today.
Best of luck in finding him soon.

We walk through the village every day for an hour. We feed loads of stray cats on the way. We will keep an eye open for yours, where are you please, give me a land mark.

We are near to Rafters Restaurant, further down the road, same dead end street. Very quiet, no traffic. Looked all over. Called for him. He is a big cat, you just could not mistake him. I just can not imagine what has happened to him. He is only around 18 months old. He is so noticeable because of his big size and the colour of his tabby is blue (grey) & white and not brown that is the common colour! Plus he is fluffy with a shortish bushy tail. I just know he likes getting in to cars. I am thinking maybe he got in the back of a van? Apparently there was someone around at the weekend clearing out an abandoned building, and according to one neighbour they saw the cat over the weekend. We were gone from Friday lunchtime until very late Sunday night (all food gone from outside but we have another cat and she was waiting to greet us). It is the not knowing that is causing the pain....

If he got in a vehicle he could be anywhere, but if an open vehicle he would have likely jumped out at first stop, so he could well be elsewhere lost around Ozankoy..... But he could be anywhere!

Hi, we live in the middle of the village and will keep and eye out for him. Just to let everyone know that there are two other cats missing from the village as well .... both live near the muhtars office. One is a large ginger short=haired neutered male and the other a female neutered tabby... please post on here if you have seen any injured cats around and also check sheds and woodstores. Thank you.

GOOD NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Gary but this was not our cat, but thanks so much anyway....

BUT

the good news is that we have FOUND OUR CAT!!!!

On the way back from checking out the one Gary mentioned, I thought let me just drive to our old house, and incredibly this cat had travelled 1.6km back to our old house, and as soon as he heard our car he came running to greet us! He had been seen where we live now on Saturday afternoon, and so sometime between then and our returning from Limassol very late on Sunday, he must have missed us so much and decided to go back to the old place to look, and exactly how he managed that is just incredible! I have heard this story before, but never believed it, now I do! Anyway, he is home now and purring away on my son's lap! Soooo Happy, and thanks to everyone who offered to help.

What a happy ending. Cats do miss their people if they are well cared for and this story proves the point.

Great news for you scubadubaqueen.
Next time ask a neighbour to feed him instead of leaving food out for him that way he will be sure to stay not stray
