Di Figaro Restaurant
Does anyone have a phone number for this restaurant?
I have looked back on old postings and tried to ring on 0392 822 4040 which has been previously listed but it is unobtainable.
Thank you.

Re: Di Figaro Restaurant
As far as I know it has closed down again! and Salih has gone back to the UK.I believe this to be correct as the last NCCCT coffee morning was due to held there and was changed to the Savoy at very short notice. Can anyone else confirm this?

Phil oz,
How lucky are you!! You are either very handsome or loaded! Because I know that's true in both cases go and enjoy.
You have not been here two minutes, what does it take to get an invite?

Strange, I thought their last re-opening blurb said they were going to specialise in Weddings only. Maybe not enough people getting spliced these days?

Re: Di Figaro Restaurant
I was told it was 150 to 200 going, so it may be kinda crowded. As to it being closed,l I think it was just that Salih was away for ashort time. There ARE wedding s booked and I suspect they are happy to take parties (at least that is what Salih said when some of us met up with him earlier in the year.
Sorry Owl lady but I think there is some confusion here, but I think the real unknown part is when he is open as a regular restaurant. Does anyone know.

Stopped by on the way out last night and it was all in darkness, it crossed our minds that maybe it was only open at weekends?
Yes, we too have been invited to the Creditwest bash so I guess I will find out on Tuesday as to whether it is open and when.

How is the Christmas bash being funded?
Are there entry/meal tickets to be bought?
Are the proceeds going to charity?

I have also been a customer for several years and no invite! How do they decide on their guest list?

Re: Di Figaro Restaurant
In reply to the last three slightly posts.
Corporate hospitality is a multi billion £/$/TL industry, and a way of thanking customers for business transacted in the past, and of course a way of,in a social arena, getting more business.
Charity fund raising events are a different thing altogether.
As for who gets an invite and who doesn't,well I would guess in this case it's the banks most profitable customers,or in simple terms who has the most money invested with them.
Hope this helps

Many years ago I used to go to the Bankers Institute Annual Dinner as a guest of the then Midland Bank, and that was not how much I had invested with them,It was about how much they had invested in me! Much more enjoyable .

Mrs Snakes, Owl Lady .... I do feel for you...... Having organised many such Corporate Hospitality events over the years I can only say that we invited ALL our customers (no matter how much or how little they invested with the company) as they were ALL the one and only reason we had jobs!!!!
Perhaps we just have to accept that some of us have the wrong postcode............

All those aggrieved don't worry in England once, we went to a Barclays Corporate Christmas do (cos our manager was a friend) and afterwards we went into the bar (unknown that we had come from event by staff) and heard one of the bar saff say "poor b......ds, they are so greatfull and don't realise they are funding this with their overdrafts", we finished our drinks and left, and no we did not have an overdraft!!!!!!!!

Re: Di Figaro Restaurant
I do not want to get involved in the debate about who is invited and who is not, and how the bank decides - I am merely the entertainer they have asked to provide the entertainment for THEIR event. I can only suggest if you are a customer and you haven't been invited that you pay a visit to your branch and ask the question. You won't find the answer on a forum like this - only the bank can tell you !
So to those who have been invited, and going back to the original topic of 'is Di Figaro's open', I am going there this afternoon to check out the venue, and I can confirm that the event is taking place there as per the invites you have received.

Re: Di Figaro Restaurant
Can I get this back on topic please?
Does anyone have the phone number for this restaurant other than the one I mentioned in the first post?
We would like to try eating there but need to find out the opening times and we are now not going to the Creditwest function.
Thank you.

I think you will find that the number givcen by Salih is his personal m0obile number, and the other is the landline for the restaurant. I think!
