Selling A Property

I have a friend who is under 60 and owns a property with a potential buyer, his residency runs out just before the transaction takes place would he need to renew it for the sale to go through ok.
Any advise or information would be gratefully received.

I do not see why ? You do not need to be resident to buy or sell a property as far as I know.

My Father sold his and he was not a resident, obviously your friend if in the country will require a valid visa. The day it runs out he should leave and return after midnight, you used to have 2 days grace but gather you no longer get this.

You do not need residency to sell! As previous post you would need a visa whether selling or otherwise.
