Turkey in turmoil after corruption probe and arrests!

Yesterday, high-profile figures among 84 detained in major corruption operation in Turkey

Turkey is shaken as ministers’ sons, officials, and prominent businessmen numbering around 50 are arrested in a corruption probe, prompting the CHP to call on the PM to resign.

According to Turkish Daily News - Ironically (not confirmed officially yet), today 5 police department Heads have been removed from their duties. These were the heads of Financial Corruption Branch, Illegal Trafficking Branch, Organised Crime Branch, Anti-Terrorism Branch and Public Security Branch!

Even more ironic is the fact that the above seems to have taken place after the PM abruptly changed his current plans and flew to Istanbul at midnight last night!
