Yes, I have. No problems in getting it replaced. You need to go to the police station to fill in a form declaring that it has been lost - from memory you need a couple of passport photos and some stamps but I don't remember how much as it was a few years ago. You have to collect it a few days later and they give you an official piece of paper, in English if you ask for it, which you then send with the appropriate passport form. I sent mine from the British High Commission and it took approximately three weeks to come through. Good luck!

Best place for advice. Passport applications have change a lot in last couple of years so best to contact High Commission in Lefkosa - https://www.gov.uk/government/world/org ... on-nicosia

It is possible to do it from here with a little help from your friends ..
1 .. Get someone to bring from the UK the necessary application forms ..
2 .. Fill in the forms, add photo, cheque etc .. Again get someone to take back to post in UK ..
3 .. Put a delivery address on the form of someone who is coming out, to bring your passports ..
Get lucky with dates & it could be done in about 3 weeks or even less ..
Worked for us & the cost saving is quite considerate .. Roughly £150 for 2 passports ..
Good luck ..

Sorry to hear that Kirk. I replaced my passport while visiting the UK, and made an appointment with the Peterborough office before I flew. I called in one afternoon and collected the new passport the following morning.

I have to say that it was a pleasant experience, all the staff I met were courteous, kind and friendly. It transpired that the form I had printed was an incorrect one, but the lady who dealt with it kindly completed the correct one for me.

Altogether a different experience from yours by the sound of it.
