Posting Parcels to the UK.
Hi.
Has any one posted parcels to the UK from here, and do they get there without any problems.
Thanks.

I've posted quite a few and they all get there within 10 days.

Re: Posting Parcels to the UK.
I recently posted a parcel to Aberdeen (Scotland)
Used the little post office in Esentepe. It arrived intact 12 days later.
Don't seal it. They need to inspect the content before they'll accept it

Alsancak PO didn't ask to see what was in my parcel. They just accepted my word for it and filled in a form. Took 10 days from here to Cambridge.

Re: Posting Parcels to the UK.
I believe the open parcel policy is also a requirement in the main post office in Girne. Maybe it applies only to packages sent abroad, I don't know.
Better to be safe than sorry & have your carefully wrapped package ripped open.
I went along with scissors & sellotape to seal my package after the inspection. Not a problem.
No form to fill in.

I've not posted to UK but did post a parcel to South Korea and it got there within a fortnight. Took it to Girne , open, with sellotape etc as the previous poster. They just glanced at it and gave me a customs form to complete like the ones you get in UK to say what was in it. So much for the surprise for Christmas!
