Received two messages this morning But not sure why

This morning when I logged on I was surprised to see you have two messages from two members one stating they found it hurtful I used their proper name and the other saying I think you have the wrong person.
Can the system sent emails or posting without me knowing
I find this very worrying

I have also received these messages. The very reason I have never been on Facebook or any other similar site. My first forum and beginning to wish I hadn't joined this one! I would like to delete the messages in my in box but can't see how. Can someone advise please.

If you go onto 'private messages' then look Down the left hand side where you see inbox messages & outbox etc.
Go to the last one where it says 'rules, folder & settings'
Click onto that and it shows you the way to delete in your folder.
If you have any probs.. Send a pm to a moderator, they will help you.

Someone is playing tricks or being very stupid, I too received two private messages, saying I sent them messages, which I didn't,

Yes I have these messages as well. I also received one a couple of weeks ago which had nothing to do with me. What is going on?

I got them as well - could someone explain to me, and the others having the same problem why we get these peculiar messages? Surely there's some daft reason for it

I too have received these messages. Our accounts have clearly been hacked into and it shouldn't have happened. Can Soner please let us know whether those of us affected should change our account names and passwords. I don't want people getting back into my PC via Kibcom.

yes I got this rubbish as well !

If you go to compose a message, you will see that Kibkom group is in one of the boxes, and you are unable to delete it, therefore looks as if when you send a PM at the moment it's going to everyone in that group. Admin will have to sort this out. I had two messages today, and one about a dog a few weeks ago, and know nothing about either of them.

Suggest Heather on the Hill changes her profile and maybe gets another username.

Apologies for the spam. This is the second time a member has accidentally sent a PM out to all/most members of Kibkom. I thought I had rectified the problem the last time but obviously not. I have now.again made changes to the PM section and members should not be able to send PM's to Multiple users or groups. Hope this is the last.
Once again I apologise for the spam and am sure it was a genuine mistake by the member.

Thanks |Kaiser Bill. I see what this is all about now. I have edited the message on the forum that contained the unwanted information, so it cannot be read any more (the message but not the name). I am sure it was a slip of the pen. As to a pm going out to about one thousand people that must have been a computer glitch which Soner ha s now dealt with.

It is difficult sometimes to remember that some people wish to remain anonymous, but when one knows them personally it is easy to refer to them by their proper names.

I guess the messages here are : forgiveness, understanding and for each one of us to double check what they write (says lil ol me who hardly has time to do so).

That is the trouble with the internet/cyberspace. When it works well it is like a child with a curl in the middle of their forehead when it is deemed to be good, but 'when it is bad it is horrid'.

Thanks to Soner for dealing with it.

As to the post situation, I think that sometimes we forget that this is NOT Little Britain, and the authorities do do the best they can. Compared to some of the horror stories inU.K,k I reckon this place is doing pretty well. (just my opinion, of course!) Happy New Year everyone!!!! (a bit late, but not said it before!0
