It's that time of year again when we have to renew our residency, can anyone tell me what paperwork is required please, it's two years since we last did it and the old memory is fading fast.

Muktah Letter.
Copy of passport.
Copy of last residency stamp in passport.
Copy of Kocan or contract.
Copy of bank statement/s.
Copy of marriage certificate (if married).
Blood test (if under 60).

At lefkosa you will need 8.5 TL stamp and the cost is 216TL for one year.

Never had to produce marriage cert, so that is new to me. However you do need the little blue or pink ID book.

Last year they asked for a copy of marriage certificate, this year they didn't!
I now take a copy of everything...just in case!

Also make sure that your Muktah puts the postage stamp on your letter.
Every year ours always has, but this year he didn't.
When I questioned him about the lack of the stamp, he said it was no longer needed!
When we produced the letter to the polis in Girne, they asked for a stamp to put on the letter.
Luckily I had bought one before hand....just in case!

i find it amazing that were trying to give them money and every year they change the rules you would think after all this time of issuing them they would have made up there minds just what they want from us even if only to get more people to pay, i hear so many people now saying there not doing it any more its not worth the hassle
Karaman, its not all wax jackets and green wellies anymore
