27th January - International Chocolate Day!!!

Now that both the Christmas and New Years festivities are a distant memory we thought we would have a fundraiser that would give you all something that you can sink your teeth into!

The Food Lodge (Catalkoy) and The Cacao are supporting Tulips on International Chocolate Day, 27 January.

The Food Lodge are supplying us with Chocolate Cake on that day for us to sell - you will find us at the top of Girne outside the Belediye on this day only (27th).

The Cacao are donating 50% of all sales of the 3 chocolate items being sold in aid of Tulips at all of their branches (see the poster below).

There is something for everyone as prices are only 10tl, 20tl and 50tl!

As I am a bit 'long in the tooth' to blame my chocolate cravings on pregnancy or PMT, thank you TULIPS for giving me the perfect excuse.

Where are the Cacao shops located please

There is one in Kyrenia,l opposite the Gloria Jeans Copffee Shop on the Alsancak road out of town, just before the turning down to Jasmine Court Hotel.

Another is attached to the Starling store at Alsancak - on the side of the supermarket.

There is another on the road toNicosia called '#The Lttle Cacao, and it is on the left hand side on the turning to the left which goes to Dikmen, and opposite the parade of shops which has a Passport restaurant, Estate Agents, bank etc.

Not sure where the others are, but maybe others will know.

Thank you everyone for showing interest and to Marion for answering the questions - I just did not seem to have enough time to get back onto the computer after posting (when will there be 48 hours in a day??).

There is also a very large 'The Cacao' in Lefkosa, I have never been to it so maybe someone can post directions on here if they know its location please?

TRNCVaughan: On Monday please go to The Cacao in Girne or Alsancak and buy one of the boxes of chocolates on the poster - remember 50% of the sale is to be donated to Tulips - then eat the chocolates and let us all know

Otherwise, join the queue at The Cacao for your chocolates. Cannibals can buy a little man for 10tl, those who want their chocs in boxes, then 20tl or 50tl. Jusdt remember the more you spen d the more Tulips gets.
