Well, glad they have their priorities right!
How about enacting a law enabling people to actually own the properties they have paid for?

Yee Gods, we still don't own the one we've lived in for nine years - the thought of having to cope with two more isn't worth thinking about.

There can only be one reason for this if true, the property market has left the country!
So they are now out to con as many more people as possible to buy properties so the developers, builders and their familes can sell their empty properties.
It would be nice if the government brain cell would set to work for a few days to solve the miriads of problems that exist already. I for one would advise anyone thinking of buying here to go elsewhere, they will probably get less stess caused by fraud and outright theft by going to Outer Mongolia.

I am not convinced the property market is lagging that much. One agent I know is fairly busy, I have seen a number looking at properties where I live. Several have changed hands nearby recently, mostly for reasonable money and also quite a few being built.
It could be that the current government is softening its stance toward expats and recent communique from the BRS seems to support this.

Some are wise and some otherwise.....

We have been very lucky, we found a good builder, had a lovely home built, and have a full Kocan, but would we buy another property, not on your life. Until the government deals with the corruption in the property market I would advise people to avoid buying a property here, why pay them to stress you out.
