NORTH Cyprus’s very own Knight Templar has pledged his support to raise money for the Esentepe Fun, Run and Ramble 2014 in aid of Tulips (Help Those With Cancer).
The Knights’ Templar used Cyprus as a base for their financial and commercial activities and travelled extensively across the island to support their trade routes coastal and inland. These routes included daily pilgrimages between the castles at St Hilarion and Kantara.
With this in mind, on Saturday, 1 March, the Knight Templar, accompanied by some of the Esentepe Fun, Run and Ramble 2014 committee members, will arrive at St. Hilarion castle at 11.00am before moving down to the Kyrenia Castle/Harbour around mid-day. The entourage will move onto the main streets of Girne about 1.00pm and will stop at George’s bar in Girne at 3.00pm. The walk will then continue out towards The Cratos Hotel all the time encouraging people to donate to Tulips.
The Knight Templar commented: “Knights Templar these days are heavily involved in charity work and as well as supporting Tulips (Help Those With Cancer) here in North Cyprus, I am also committed to helping Cancer Research and the Macmillan Cancer Support in UK.”
Visiting businesses along this historic pre-determined route, it is hoped that they and the public will be give generously to Tulips (Help Those With Cancer).
For a donation, photo opportunities with the Knight Templar, along the route, will be encouraged.
