Re: RATES OF PAY
Hi, not sure about the gardening rate, the cleaning rate is at least 15tl per hour.
Remember, no matter where you go, there you are.

Re: RATES OF PAY
Better to get a rate for the job, as some work very fast and some are rather slow.

Yes, if you are lucky to find one to work for 10tl per hour. Plus you have to supply them with lunch and as many turkish coffees as they can drink. This is my experience.

Re: RATES OF PAY
My gardener does 8 hours for 70 TL
Previous one did 4 hours for 30 TL
No lunch beak (or else he has to make the time up)
No food supplied by me, 1 x Nescafe, and as much water as he wants.
Don't say that we're not open-handed, us from up-North

Re: RATES OF PAY
Our gardener prefers Sterling & because he's so good & very hard working this isn't an issue. Rarely stops work even when he got a cup of tea, totally reliable & we have been using him now for 6 years. In that time he's had 2 pay rises. He keeps our donum of garden in perfect order & we don't need to tell him what to do because he just gets on with it.
He charges £40 for 10 hours per month. At today's buying exchange rate that's 11.26 per hour, but we don't use TL, but pay in in Sterling from the UK. so no currency exchange issue.
Unlike some others he does not expect food, but does enjoy tea in winter & water in summer.
If you get a good gardener here they are worth their weight in gold. Look after them.
