From today's Cyprus Today:
Holidaymakers heading to Turkey this summer no longer have to apply for an e-visa before travelling, as the deadline to introduce a new system has been extended.
E-visas were due to be exclusively in place by April 10, meaning that visitors would no longer be able to buy a visa on arrival.
However, the association of British Travel Agents has been negotiating with Turkish authorities to extend the deadline, which has been agreed. It means until 31st December 2014, tourists can still receive a visa stamp in their passports on arrival via an interactive kiosk in airports. As the new system is already in place, travellers can still choose to apply for the e-visa via http://www.evisa.gov.tr

one wonders why the tourist agencies do not sort that out for travellers now. It is so much easier for it all to be online for the individual so why on earth do the agencies not organise it for groups of folks travelling out?
