Yesterday, the results of tests on the water quality of beaches in the Girne area were announced by the Department of the Environment.
The water for 37 beaches was analysed for levels of coliform bacteria, e.coli bacteria and enterococcus bacteria. The results of the tests, carried out at government laboratories, can be found on the attached link.

Apparently, according to EU standards, if the levels for coliform and enterococcus are less than 100 , then it's "çok iyi", and for 100-200 "iyi".
As for the e.coli , if it's less than 250, then it's "cok iyi", and "iyi" for 250-500.
So, according to this, the only place where the water isn't at least "iyi" is at the beach close to the Rocks Hotel, in Girne.
As with previous posts, I am merely telling you of what's in the Turkish-language press - they are NOT my reports.
