Turkcell Charges?
My Husband has 14:32 credits deducted from his phone each month. We went to the Turkcell shop in town and asked why this was happening.
We have been told that 14:32 credits is 1tl, and this is a Government tax. All Turkcell customers are charged 1tl every month.
We didn't know this and have asked other people, some say it is correct but others have said no it's not right. Any ideas please? Thank you.

If you look near the bottom of your bill, you'll see a tax to the government, over and above KDV on contract customers.

This charge started about 6 months ago, if my memory is correct. I am sure if you check back you will find that msg among all the others that we routinely delete as adverts. In fact there is a thread on this topic at the time the charge started if you want to look for it.

Hello Chatterbox & True Kibkomer,
Just to say regarding above 'Turkcell Charges'. My Husband is not on 'Mobile Wireless'. He has no 'Monthly Contract'
He tops his phone up when his credit gets low. We did state this in the shop.
Therefore, please would you be able to tell me why he is paying for the above when this does not apply to him?
Thank you for your advice, it is much appreciated. Kind regards, Greenvalley.

greenvalley.
The charge applies to all users of telecommunications, I use the same system as you and as I said above the charge started several months ago.
So to reiterate, you will have had msgs for at least 6 months, as I remember, but I am sure you will have done the same as we all do with most of those messages - deleted as junk. You are stuck with the charge I am sorry to say.

I think you'll find the charge applies to all users of mobile phones, irrespective of whether they have PAYG or monthly contract.
