The lorries that empty septic tanks (vidanjor from the French verb vidanjer, which means to empty) ; apparently the beledyesi lorries that do it don't have very long pipes. We live down an alley way with no vehicle access, so we need the services of a lorry with longer piping.

The one that I use is Alsancak Vidanjor Service. Tel nos: 0542-8543027 and 0533-8638413. They are very reliable. They don't speak a lot of English but, if you call and can't speak Turkish, they will get somebody English speaking to call you back.
